Reggie Aquara made this video in year 2005. Entitled “Album”, this short video juxtaposed images of old b/w photograph that represents urban scenery in Bandung during the colonial time with the colors of city light from Bandung in present day. Accompanied with an Old Dutch Indies song, the vivid projection of the compressed past and present time/space expressing a melodramatic view of Bandung during its post-colonial period. This work is also part of Check Point Video Compilation that has been included in the Place, Ground, Practice Exhibition (St. Paul Gallery, Auckland-NZ); which was participated by Bandung Center for New Media Arts in year 2005. Reggie Aquara is video artist who work and lives in Bandung – Indonesia.
